Baran

Baran city was under Solanki Rajputs in the 14th -15th century. It is not known exactly when the town of Baran was created from twelve villages of the Solanki Rulers and named 'Baran'. Baran was part of Kota District until early 1990's when it was declared a independent District of Rajasthan
